On Christmas Eve we headed to Kewpee's to meet the rest of the LaMacchia clan for lunch. As we were getting ready to leave, I put our sweet little Leah in the very last every newborn diaper :(
Kids helped open Leah's gifts since she was sleeping
We headed over to St Gerard for Christmas Eve mass. This is one of my favorite masses of the year and I look forward to spending it with family and seeing those we don't get to see as often as we'd like.
After mass, we went over to Aunt Virginia's house for her party with family. Santa made his grand appearance bringing gifts to all of the kids! We sang carols, Santa read a story, and called each kid up to sit on his lap and get a present. The kids love this!
Hannah was last to be called and got some extra-special time on the big guy's lap
Then we headed home to begin our Christmas Eve tradition of reading The Night Before Christmas and setting up our cookies and milk for Santa, and carrots for the reindeer.
Leah's FIRST Christmas eve!!
The stockings were hung, the gifts were all placed, now off to bed for the magic tomorrow morning :)
CHRISTMAS DAY!!!
The excitement on our kid's faces makes this day so special and so much fun!!
John CANNOT wait until they wake up and he is always anxiously (annoyingly) waiting til he hears the first kid wake up!
This year, Hannah woke up first, and got Noah up. He looks like he could use a few more hours of sleep! (Me too buddy!)
Walking down the steps...seeing the presents around the tree for the first time!
Taking it all in!!
Playing with Santa's gifts before we open the wrapped presents
Leah woke up and was able to take in some of the magic even though she has no clue!
We ate some breakfast, then it was time to open the wrapped presents from each other.
After some naps, we headed over to Grandpa and Grandma's house for dinner and more presents.
It was an absolutely perfect Christmas this year! We are so blessed that we are able to provide something so special for our kids. We are truly thankful to be surrounded by family and everything that they do for us today and every day.
Merry Christmas to all!!
