Noah 12 Months - December 2014

1 year old!  It doesn't seem possible, I can't even believe that you are 1 year old!  How can it even be possible that one year has come and gone so quickly?

One year ago, while Mommy was at work that night, you decided to grace us with your presence.  Thankfully Daddy made it to the hospital in time to see your arrival, as you were born less than 3 hours from start to finish.  Since the moment of your speedy arrival, you have done everything at such a quick pace.  When you started rolling over, you did it quickly.  When you started army crawling, you were in such a hurry.  And once the walking began (at 10 months), you were ready to start running!  If you must be so speedy, just please slow down for a few moment and let us enjoy you and how special you are to our family.

-Height: 30.25 inches (44%)
-Weight: 20 lbs 11oz (10%)
-Head circumference: 44.8cm (5%)
-Hgb re-check: 10.9

Your 12th month of life was very busy, crazy, chaotic, fun-filled, and yet full of wonderful moments!  With the holidays and our move, things got a little bit interesting for all of us, including you.

You are walking/err.. running all over the place.  You love when Hannah chases you around the house.  You also love to hear the pitter patter of your feet on the floor surfaces.  You love to climb on top of baskets, into boxes, and on the stairs.  You have fallen down the stairs and off the couch now because you are too adventurous (and too quick!).

You are a pretty vocal little man.  You just babble and babble, trying so hard to tell us those important thoughts in your mind.  Sometimes when you get going, you will chatter forever!  I wish we knew what was going on inside your head.  You are saying "Dada, MaMa, Hannah (your variation of it), buh-bye, HI, ball, uh-oh, and Baba.  You love to giggle and Hannah makes you laugh with her funny noises.  We just love watching the two of you play and laugh together.

You eat everything!  Whatever you have placed in front of you, you eat without question.  If you see us eating something different, you will scream and point until we give you some of that.  Nothing gets past you!  We also can't start something else until you are done because you will scream until you get it. We are truly thankful you are such a good eater.

You are still taking your bottles about every 3 hours and drinking TONS of water in your sippy cup.  You just love water!  We are still going strong with only drinking breastmilk and using up our frozen stash, but soon will start the transition over to whole milk.

You have your 2 lonely bottom teeth still, but have no problem with that.  I'm sure it will be an adventure when you start adding some more.  We really hope your sleep won't be affected.

You are sleeping much better and continue to sleep through the night.  Occasionally you will wake up, but a quick little snuggle and replacement of the paci does the trick.  You are still taking 2 naps everyday- one in the morning from 9:30ish-11 or so and afternoon 2-4/5ish.  If you skip the morning one, its not a good thing as Mr Cranky-pants comes out.  You are super whiney, crying, and only want to be held.  We've learned that its essential you get your 2 naps!

We are so lucky to have you little dude!  Noah Alexander-  you are the most cuddly, loving little boy.  You love snuggling with your blankie, sitting close to Mommy or Daddy, seeing your sister when you wake up, your paci, and causing destruction!  You are all boy and it is so funny to see how you act.  You love to push and throw toys around, knock down towers, and smash your head against anything.  In one moment you are acting rough and tough and the next you are running over to give us a hug and snuggle before you are back at it.

Happy one year to you sweet baby boy!  We love you so much and you are such a special part of our family.  We can't wait to see where you take us!!
