It was a great time seeing my family and spending time with everyone. The week went by too quickly, and we didn't get to spend as much time with everyone as we would have liked. We need like 2 weeks to do all that we need to do! But we loved the time we had anyway. Hannah loved playing with her cousins and Noah loved all the hugs and kisses he received. We enjoyed every minute and certainly can't wait until the next time.
Here's a little recap of our week:
Lots of play time with the cousins. These kids play hard together and had so much fun laughing and running around.
Swimming!! We went swimming with Pam, Jason, Dylan, and Bryn at Jason's cousin's house. What a beautiful sunny day! The water felt great and the kiddos loved splashing around. Hannah enjoyed wearing Dylan's goggles to jump into the pool. She was quite the little fish, swimming all around by herself (and the aide of her puddle jumper and tube). Swimming lessons will be on the agenda for her soon!
Meeting Baby Austin! We got to meet my newest nephew Austin Robert! He was just over a week old so it was amazing to hold a baby that small again! He is such a sweet baby, such long fingers and toes. It was so nice to meet him, hold him, and spend time with Derek and Kate. I can't wait to snuggle him again!
More play time with cousins: Hannah had a great time playing with Gracie, Andrew, and Matthew. She was right at home with all the toys in Amy's house, what a fun day! We finished up the rest of the night back at Mom and Dad's house. We saw a rainbow and the kids went exploring!
We spent a day visiting with MeMom and PopPop at their house. We loved spending time with them both, and the kids were eating up every minute of the attention.
4th of July
Everyone was invited over to Mom and Dad's for a picnic and front row seat to watch the fireworks at Waltz' less than a mile down the road. After a rainy start, it turned into a perfect day! The kids had a blast playing games in the yard, and we enjoyed sitting around and being a little lazy!
Peek-a-boo Lilly!!
The fireworks were great! Hannah just loved the "boom booms" and Noah was squealing with delight during them. Thank goodness we didn't have scared, screaming kids!!
What a great 4th of July!!!
Our last day spent with my family was celebrating my parents 40th Anniversary Party. Once again we had another beautiful day with family and friends. More pics in another post!
We left around 10am to some sad goodbyes. It's always hard leaving and saying goodbye, but hopefully it won't be for long. We made it home a little before 10pm. The drive was pretty successful, the kids did very well again. Here's a quick picture of Hannah taking a little nap, very unusual for her! But, it was a perfect trip! We loved every minute of our time with family! Can't wait to do it all over again. Love you guys!
