Surprise 60th Wedding Anniversary

Among all of the fun things we did on our visit to PA, this one definitely one of the best!  My grandparents are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary in October, and we were able to help surprise them at their party.  My sister Amy helped coordinate the party and did a great job!  Amy planned to get my grandparents to the church because they thought they were doing something with Grace for her girl scouts.  They were completely shocked, surprised, it was great!  They really had no idea that there was a party for them.  It was so wonderful! I'm so glad we could be there to help them celebrate such a wonderful anniversary.  This is the true definition of love, 60 years of marriage!  I am so lucky to have them as role models to look up to.

"First" Birthday Party

Because my family wouldn't be able to make it to Michigan in September to celebrate Hannah's true first birthday, we celebrated a "first" birthday party on our visit.  My family planned the day and made all of the arrangements to make the birthday party special.  Derek and Kate graciously offered their home to entertain everyone.  We had a beautiful day where we could bbq outside and enjoy friends and family.  A few of my wonderful girlfriends, their husbands, and kiddos also came to celebrate.  We had a great time!  Hannah got her first taste of cake and seemed to really love it!  (Thanks Kate for making such a delicious cake!)

What a fun day, such special memories that I will hold close to my heart.  Thank you for a beautiful party, it was absolutely perfect!
