Big girl at her doctor appointment
On the eve of Leah's 4 month celebration, she outgrew size 1 diapers and graduated to size 2's. She is a little chunky monkey. Leah had a great check-up with no concerns with her weight or milestones whatsoever.
Leah is still working on her sleeping/napping and sleeping through the night. Sometimes she sleeps through the night and other times she wakes once to nurse and go back to sleep. Some nights she is not a happy girl and wants to be up later that she should. For the most part she nurses every night, falling asleep in my arms. She is pretty easy to lay down and go to sleep. Although sometimes she will wake up and need to be rocked back to sleep. As frustrating as her inconsistencies are, I don't mind the snuggles and cuddling at all. In the moment when I'm ready to put her down and get something done I may be a bit upset or mad about it, but I know one day I will look back and be thankful for all those extra snuggles.
Leah has mastered the rolling business! She is consistently rolling over from back to front and occasionally front the back although that way isn't as easy for her. She doesn't love her tummy time all that much, but she does better when the other kids are around so she can watch them and be entertained. All of the kids (and John and I) really enjoy holding her so she doesn't get as much time alone. But she also enjoys being held and close to us, so we can't complain!
Leah has been sitting up in the bumbo seat often and likes seeing what's going on. I can put her in the play room with Hannah and Noah in that while I quick make lunch or get dinner started. It's helpful to get a few things done as well. We also started putting her in the stand-up exersaucer some and although she doesn't seem to know quite what to do, she watches the kids and has started grabbing and reaching for the toys. She'll be jumping and kicking those legs in no time at all.
Leah is a pretty talkative little lady and likes to make all kinds of noises with her sweet voice. She has the cutest giggle and we all love making her laugh. She has also discovered blowing bubbles and the kids absolutely love it! They laugh so hard when she does this and I swear it prompts her to do it even more.
We have quite the crew here and I would't change one thing about it :)
