June trip to Boyne

John's work had their annual board retreat at Boyne this year, so we were able to enjoy a little get-away together.

We took advantage of swimming in the outdoor pool when we first got there.  The water was insanely warm and the kids had a great time!

On Thursday we were able to go to the indoor water park.  Both kids LOVED it!  But it was also all they talked about leading up to the trip.
Hannah started off going down the waterslide with John, but after a few times, she was set to go completely on her own.  Noah was content sitting on his daddy's lap and sliding down.

John took on the free fall slide, he is just crazy!

"Let's do it again!"  All we kept hearing from both kids immediately after they got off the slide.

The loud alarm would go off signalling the avalanche was about to erupt.

After we left Boyne, we drove across the state to visit John's Grandma in Roger's City.
We walked from her house down a nice trail that opens up to Lake Huron.  It was FREEZING!!

We enjoyed a nice lunch and visit with them, then drove to see John's Aunt and Uncle just a little ways away.
Noah was so exhausted, he actually slept on me for over an hour!  That hasn't happened in quite some time.

After dinner we drove back home to Lansing.  It was a fun, relaxing weekend to get out of town and enjoy a little vacation.  We are pretty thankful for these opportunities to travel with John for his job.
