May Wrap-up

May was challenging, but still a very nice month for us.

We are still navigating Hannah around with the cast on her leg.  She is very self-sufficient and mobile on her own, but we still need to carry her places we go, creating an extra-little challenge.

Enjoying a sunny day on the deck eating lunch!

Playing in the house together.  Being stuck inside the house has its perks!
I love catching these 2 playing nicely together.

Brandon and Carter finding frogs to play with!

                                                                        Sissy hugs!

I love getting texts from John when I'm at work, Noah decided to stay up to party way too late!

Noah is learning how to climb onto the couch, but not quite sure how to get back down.
Noah took a big tumble off the couch and fell into the coffee table.

Yeah!!  Cast came off on May 14th.  Hannah took a long bath and swam around in the tubby.
All that scaly skin flaked off, we put tons and tons of lotion and massaged her leg!
It's so nice to have this stinky cast off!!

Learning how to "walk" again                                     Safety first!!                                                 I'm so proud of how hard Hannah is trying!

LOVE LOVE our  neighborhood, its so nice to have so many kids around.

John and I snuck away for an overnight retreat to Shanty Creek and spent some quality time at Short's

Movie time!  Noah loves Frozen!

We ended May on a high note, so I hope that summer keeps going just like this!!

MomMom & Poppy visit

My parents, MomMom and Poppy flew out for a week long visit with us!  The week flew by all too quickly, but we had so much fun!

I know the kids loved having special one-on-one time with MomMom and Poppy.  It was so nice to relax, enjoy the nice weather, and take it easy with them.

We had beautiful weather while they were here, and Mom got a little too sun-burnt the first day, but it felt so nice!

We set-up a little blow up pool, with extremely cold water for the kids to play in.  I watched a friend's two kids for her, Ethan and Lontia, and the 4 kids always have a good time playing together.

Enjoying dinner and relaxing on the deck!

We took LOTS of walks around the neighborhood!

And spent lots of time playing on our neighbor's swing set.  We are so blessed to have amazing neighbors!

We loved having MomMom and Poppy with us!  We can't wait until July when we get to see them again in PA.  xoxo

Mother's Day

Mother's day is certainly a day where I get to count my blessings and remember how truly thankful I am to be a mom.  I never doubted that I wanted kids and these two make me a better person every single day.  They have taught me how to love selflessly, give a little more when you think you've got nothing left, smile more, laugh even more, say sorry, give hugs and kisses, and listen.  My kids have given me the greatest gift ever, the chance to be their momma, and I am forever grateful for this role I have in my life.

My day was spent relaxing and trying to take it easy.  We headed to church and then a little visit to my in-laws.  We came home to play and take naps, then headed out to Brody (at MSU) for dinner.  We arrived early enough to beat most of the crowd and avoided the lines.  Dinner was delicious (and filling).  We came home and took a nice walk and capped the day off with more playing.  It was perfect and everything I needed.  My husband, kids, nice day, and relaxation!

My "rainbow" flowers that Hannah picked out            Love these 2!

I wouldn't be the mother I am today without giving most, if not all of the credit to my own mother.  She is everything I can only hope to become some day.  She is always giving herself to others without question, never doubting and always supportive, she loves without boundaries.  My mother is simply the best!  I can never tell her enough how much I love her or be able to thank her for everything she has ever done for me.  She is my rock, my biggest fan, the one person I will always turn to for advice and I know she will be there.  I am forever grateful and thankful to have her as my mom.  Love you always Mom!

Happy Mother's Day to everyone!!
