Hannah turns 3!

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy, when skies are grey.  You'll never know dear, how much I love you, please don't take my sunshine away."

To my sweet, little Hannah bug-
You are such an amazing little girl and you just light up your daddy and my world.  You have such an independent soul, a sweet (at times), caring disposition, and a smile that is contagious.  We are in awe at how smart you are, and how stubborn you can be.  You make us laugh over and over again, which makes it nearly impossible to discipline you when you need it.  You can be so tender and loving, yet turn around and put on your "mean" face.  We are so proud of the big girl you have become and wish we could stop time and keep you little forever.  We love you so much and can't imagine our lives without you.
     Love-  Mommy & Daddy

Hannah's actual birthday fell on a Tuesday.  We decided to give her the big gift today instead of waiting until her party on Saturday.  She was so excited and couldn't stop smiling!

Looks like a pretty satisfied kiddo if you ask me?!  She was even nice enough to take Noah for a quick ride before he wasn't quite sure about this jeep.  Birthday success!

We sang Happy Birthday complete with a mini-cake.  What a proud 3 year old!

At her 3 year check up:

Hannah was pretty excited for her doctor visit as she wanted to show her "Doctor skills" from what she's learned watching Doc McStuffins.  She was completely prepared to have her "check-up" and was very helpful holding the supplies as they were needed.  Hannah even got a shot and barely shed a tear, what a trooper!  The doctor was impressed with how helpful she was and how comfortable Hannah was with the check-up.  (Doc McStuffins-- thank you! haha!)

3 Year Stats:
-Height: 36 1/4 inches (24%)
-Weight: 29.5 lbs (37%)
-Blood Pressure: 100/68
(having her BP taken was one of her favorite parts, that and reflexes!)

Our beautiful little girl is turning into such a big girl, way too soon.  Hannah always has something to say or tell you, complete with her own explanation as to why it is.  Her vocabulary is HUGE and John and I find ourselves laughing with her expressions and comments all the time.  I find myself asking "who are you?" way too much, as she sounds so much older than 3.
Some of my favorite, mis-pronounced words: amulent (amulet), puter (computer), bags and beans (bean bag toss), I wanna give you a five five (high-five), yasso (lasso), patakiller (catapillar)... and I'm sure there are more that I will remember later.

Hannah is certainly an outgoing person, she will say hi to just about anyone.  She is so inquisitive and wants to know why people are doing certain things, or how they are doing them.  She is quite the leader at daycare and will command a room with her presence.  She will be a force to reckon with as she gets older, I hope in a good way.

Hannah is getting the hang at writing her name.  She can tell you all the letters but will mix them around on paper as she writes them.  We have been working on the correct order, but she is starting to get the hang of it.  She is always telling me, "I have to do my homework" and you will find her off drawing letters or writing "lists" of scribbles  (as she calls them).

The week before Hannah's birthday we decided to go cold turkey and take Hannah out of her pull-ups at bedtime.  She has been potty trained during the days for the entire summer, (occasional accidents here and there) but for the most part has no problem going on the potty.  I've been reluctant to try the bedtime routine as I cherish my sleep way too much!  But it was time to give it a go.  We asked her one night if she wanted to wear her big girl underwear and she say yes, so we thought we would try.  She had one accident in that first week, but since then it has been smooth sailing.  We always put her on the potty immediately before bed and immediately when she wakes in the morning, but so far so good.  We have been impressed.  Hopefully she will continue on this way, we can only hope!

As another year has come and gone, we are in awe of how much Hannah has learned and how she's grown.  I'm so proud of my little bean and can only hope she realizes how much she means to us.  Happy Birthday sweetheart :)
