Noah 5 Months

This little guy is 5 months old!  Such a big boy, growing so fast, and making us all so very happy.  He is truly a blessing!

He was so smiley and happy to sit up in the couch for me!                  Look Ma- No help from Daddy!

Hannah just loves her baby brother, sometimes a little too much!  She can be a crazy little lady!

Typical kids!  Noah was screaming in delight and Hannah was giving him bunny ears.... these two are quite the combo :)

Noah seems much more observant of his surroundings lately.  From songs, loud thumps, clapping, animal noises, vehicles, pretty much anything, he is looking to check it out.  He is definitely more content when he is sitting upright or standing.  Between wanting to roll over to his belly if you lay him flat, or trying to sit up when he is flat, he wants to be up and looking around.  But he still loves to sit in your lap and snuggle.

Noah has some teeth starting to poke through!  Between the excessive drooling and soaking of his shirts, the gnawing of his hands, and putting every toy in his mouth, we started to look more closely at his gums.  Sure enough , his front bottom two teeth are pretty visible through the gums.  He also has another little spike poking through on the back, bottom left, and another tiny spike poking on the back, bottom right side.  Noah doesn't like the cold rings that much, but give him a finger and that works just fine.

Noah is still sleeping pretty well.  Around the time we noticed his teeth were starting, he was waking up much more frequently through the night.  At first we thought it was his teeth, but then we realized he was ready to be done sleeping with his arms wrapped in his snuggie.  So we started keeping his arms out and instantly his sleep improved.  Little man knew exactly what he wanted!

Noah has started to notice when he is not around his mommy and daddy.  The fear and hesitation are clearly visible in his eyes and demeanor when we are not around.  Even his cry is more frantic.  A little stranger anxiety isn't necessarily a bad thing, but he will learn that his parents won't leave him.  This only helps to form a healthy relationship with us.  I've never wanted to be attached to my kiddos that they scream and cry when I leave them, so this is a start to teaching and showing him.  And a little mommy alone time is always a good thing every once in a while!

Already we can see Noah's little personality shining through.  He is more laid back and go with the flow, he seems to just take everything in with stride.  He is way more relaxed about where he will sleep, and way more content sleeping wherever he can.  This really helps so we can be more active with Hannah!  Noah is also a pretty talkative guy.  His squeals and screams shout for our attention and they subside when he is held and comfortable.  He knows what he wants and you can truly tell.

No stats this month, but I am very curious to see how he does with his next month check-up.  We will see!
