May Wrap-Up

May skipped right on by without any big hitches for us.  We were able to get out and enjoy the fresh air much more this month.

Starting off with St Gerard's Spring Festival... It ended up being a sunny but super windy day, but we had a great time.  John's parents joined us as we walked around and watched Hannah play some games.  Noah fell asleep as I carried him around, what a sweet boy.  It was a fun day!

We celebrated my future sister-in-law Megan at her bridal shower.  Hannah loved wearing her "pretty dress" and getting to be a big girl with all the ladies.  Hannah will be the flower girl in Paul and Megan's wedding, she can't wait!  She is always asking when the wedding will be!  The shower was perfect and we were both so glad to be there celebrating this special day with Megan!

My pretty, pretty girl!  She refuses to let me take a decent picture of her!

Playing outside.. Hannah gets a kick out of pushing Noah in the stroller.  He looks so tiny in the umbrella stroller!

Gotta get work done around the house somehow!  I've been able to wear Noah facing in and out now, he likes seeing whats going on as we get work done when he wants to be held.  Its a win-win for me!

Starting to blow raspberries!

Hannah tickling Noah - he just loves it and loves her!

My little book worms :)

Happy boy - I love his little face

Hannah has been showing more interest in wanting to hold Noah, so of course we let her as much as she wants.  One of the times she asked to hold him so I set her up in the couch.  She kissed his head and said, "I love you Noah, you're my best friend".  Melts.my.heart :)

I found a happy little boy snuggling in my sheets

Hannah reading a book to Noah, he looks so interested.
I put Hannah in his crib so I could put laundry away, and she got a kick out of it!  I probably shouldn't have done it because I find her climbing in way too often now!

Fun with Sydney in the sink - these kids are a mess in the water!  Hannah had a sleepover with the girls and surprisingly they did get a little bit of sleep ;)

Hannah had a lovely 36 hr fever bug so she was extra cuddly.  And Noah is always cuddly but loved his sister snuggling with us

Happy kids playing outside in the sun!!

John was in his cousin Anthony and Sarah's wedding the weekend of Memorial Day.  We had a great time celebrating their marriage and enjoyed a fun date-night sans kiddos!

Noah enjoys being on his tummy!

A nice day to play out on the farm.  Hannah driving with her Daddy

Extra Hannah snuggles!

Date day!  Flower girl dress fitting, lunch and picnic in the park, naps, and more outside back home!  Poor Noah missed out on the pictures but he was a good kid.  Napping and happy as we did our thing.

See you later May!  We welcome June and more sunshine!!  Woohoo for SUMMER!

Tourist in your Town

Lansing has a day when they open up many kid-friendly attractions to the community for Tourist in Your Town.  The Vogel girls and my clan spent the afternoon enjoying this event.

We started off with a little play time on the girls' trampoline.  Future Spartan gymnasts perhaps?!

We headed over to Pruess' Pet Store in Old Town.  What an amazing place!  I've never been there before and was totally surprised.  The girls enjoyed walking around and checking out all the animals.  They even got to touch a toucan.

After a little ice cream break, we drove to MSU's Bug House.  Diana and I were not so good with our MSU campus directions...its amazing how quickly you forget where things are.
Minus the warm building and the lack of naps, the girls still enjoyed all of the critters.  I was shocked that Hannah touched as much as she did, but she saw how brave and bug-loving that Hailey was and it didn't bother her!

We headed back to the Vogels' for dinner and relaxation!  The girls watched Frozen and played in their bathing suits.  We just love our time together and Hannah loves seeing her "very best friends."
