We found out the hard way that Hannah is allergic to nuts. We tried to give her a PB&J and her reaction was not the best. We decided that since this was her first exposure to anything peanut, we'd try it again a few days later. Well the second time was even worse than the first. She took one bite and that was enough. She started rubbing her eyes with her right hand (the one that touched the peanut butter), thus her eyes reacting. (although you can't really tell she was unhappy by her face in these pictures!)
We took Hannah to the allergist, they did the skin test, and now we are equipped with epi-pens and the wonderful opportunity to read all the labels of foods before Hannah eats anything.
She will be re-tested in one year to see if the allergy has gotten better or worse, lets hope it gets better!!
Poor Hannah! I'm glad she was under your watchful eye when she had the reaction. Even covered in hives, she's a cutie!! :)
