PA trip June 2013

John, Hannah, and I flew to PA for a nice long weekend to spend with family and friends.  I was in a best friend's wedding that weekend, and it was a perfect opportunity to get out of town and see my family.  We were blessed to all be able to go, and I'm glad we could fly instead of drive too!!  We flew from Detroit to Atlantic City, direct flight that was only an hour and a half.  We rented a car and drive the 2 hours to my parents house.  It was a nice and easy trip.

Hannah took a little nap in the car on our drive to PA.

Thursday night Dylan had a baseball game, so it was nice to be able to see him play this season.  This was a re-scheduled game or else we wouldn't have been able to watch any games on this trip.  His team pulled out a great win, after being behind for most of the game.  Dylan pitched, and did spectacular!  Unfortunately, I didn't take my camera along, so I don't have any pictures to show :(

Friday morning we headed to the Upper Providence park to watch JD graduate from preschool.  His class sang a few songs wearing their caps!  It was so very cute to see.

We had lunch at Chic-fil-A with MeMom, PopPop, and my mom before stopping over at Amy's house to say a quick hello before nap time.  Hannah was loving on Reagan, their kitty.

Sunday we had a family picnic and celebrated Bryn's birthday party with friends and family after.  It was a beautiful day, sunny, and warm, perfect for water fun!

Monday morning Dylan had his 6th grade awards ceremony at his school.  We were able to watch him earn multiple awards for his achievements, we were so very proud of this kiddo!

It was a wonderful long weekend in PA.  We had such a fun <jam-packed> trip, but it is always worth it!  Until August, we can't wait to come back!!

Bubbles!!

We have discovered BUBBLES!!  Hannah loves holding the wand and bubbles, regardless that she spends most of the time spilling all over herself.  She doesn't quite get that she can't eat the bubbles, but we'll get there.  In the meantime, its a fun activity for us to play!

East Lansing Art festival

John, Hannah, and I along with the Vogel family hit up the EL Art festival in downtown East Lansing on this HOT HOT May afternoon.  There are hundreds of vendors on campus and on the streets of East Lansing, with so many crafts and goodies to sell.  We walked around for as long as we could tolerate the heat, then found our way to the Marriott to play in the water sprinkler out front.
We all headed back to our house for a little BBQ and many laughs.  We always have a fun time hanging out together, we just wait far too long in between!

Fun around the house

Here are a few moments from the month of May.  I have fallen behind blogging again and am trying to find a way to catch up!

Hannah has been very busy playing with her baby dolls lately.  I was washing the dishes in the kitchen and was alarmed by the "silence" echoing through the house.  Silence = trouble, what could my little stink be up to now?  I snuck around the house and found her in her bedroom, Hannah said to me, "baby poopy Mommy".  She will make a wonderful little helper someday.

Don't forget the butt cream!

Hannah has 2 favorite books we always read at bedtime.  A few weeks ago I bought a book in the Target dollar section, for some reason Hannah just LOVES it.  Our 2 books are Goodnight, I love you, and my target special, Moose and Mouse.  She will finish the sentences for us on most of the pages, its amazing how much they can remember.

Playing outside on a lovely, sunny day.
We can't forget to take our purse along!                                                                Enjoying a ride on my swing, gotta have my milk too!
