1st Thanksgiving

We celebrated Hannah's first Thanksgiving at my in-laws house here in town.  We had turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, squash, veggies, and yummy bread.  Dinner was absolutely delicious!

Hannah sported her 'thankful for daddy' onesie today, but really she is thankful for mommy too!  Just a few pictures from the day:

My Baptism

Hannah was baptized at St. Gerard Church on Sunday, November 20.  We were joined by our family that was able to attend.  It was a wonderful day. Hannah did so good!  She was awake for roughly the first 20 minutes, then just closed her eyes and fell asleep!  She proceeded to sleep through the entire rest of her baptism, including when the baptismal water was poured over her head.  Not a peep!

We invited everyone back to our house for a luncheon and some delicious cake!  It was a great day, surrounded by lots of love for Hannah.  We are truly blessed!

I'm 2 months old today!  I cannot believe how quickly time has flown by, my baby girl is 2 months old already.

Such a happy girl :)
Hannah is doing so good.  She checked out perfectly by the doctor.  She had 3 shots at this visit, which weren't so terrible.  She is such a trooper.

In the past month we have learned so much about our baby girl.  She is cooing and trying so hard to "talk".  She is so amazing to watch!  I love when she gets her legs kicking and arms thrashing around.  She is such an active little girl.  She does not like being held in the cradle position, but rather prefers to be held upright so she can see everything that's going on around her.  She loves to sit in her Bumbo for a short amount of time before she gets tired out.  She's just recently discovered her hands and loves to put them in her mouth.  We are working really hard with her and tummy time.  I hope she starts to enjoy that more.

Hannah is such a blessing, some days I can't help but stare at her.  She has her mommy wrapped around those adorable little fingers.

Dad's Surprise 60th Birthday

As I mentioned in the previous post, my family threw a surprise 60th birthday party for my dad.  Our trip to PA was twofold-  first, to have my family meet Hannah, and second, to be there for the surprise party.

My dad was truly surprised!  He had absolutely no idea that we had planned this for him.
It was a great party, so very nice to see lots of family and friends.

Some pictures from the party:

sisters: Kim, Amy, and Lola

Visit to PA- October 2011

October 19-28 we made the 13 hour drive to PA to visit my family and have them meet Hannah for the very first time. My family had also been planning a surprise 60th Birthday party for my dad as well. It was a wonderful trip, always too short of course!

Hannah did great in the car! She slept the entire time both there and back. There is something magical about being in the car that makes babies just sleep. I'll take a sleeping baby over a screaming, upset one any day.

Hannah met many new people this week: Mom-mom and Poppy (her grandparents), Aunts-Amy, Pam, Kim, and Kate, Uncles- Bubby (Derek), Steve, Jason, and JD, and cousins: Grace, Andrew, Dylan, Bryn, JD, and Lola. As well as her greatgrandparents: Me-Mom and Pop-Pop and MomHerr. She met my girlfriends too! Aunties Wendy, Vanessa, Julia, and Jenn! It was quite the jam-packed trip, but totally worth it! I'm so glad we were able to visit (and beat the snow)

As I mentioned, my family had planned a surprise 60th birthday party for my dad. The party turned out to be such a great time, and my dad was truly surprised. He had absolutely no idea, which makes the party an even greater success.

Here are pictures from the trip:
